Hydrova raises $1M in seed funding.

We are excited to announce that Hydrova has raised $1 million in seed funding to accelerate the transition to a circular economy in the aluminum industry. This capital will accelerate the first pilot-scale deployment of Hydrova's dross recycling solution for California's largest aluminum recycler, TST Inc. Funding was led by 1517 Fund, with participation from Climate Capital, 77, and a grant from the 776 Foundation.

Hydrova is quickly becoming an industry leader in zero-waste dross recycling. Spun out of MIT in 2020, Hydrova’s patent-pending separations technology recovers valuable aluminum, salt, and oxide products from aluminum dross while generating hydrogen for clean energy use on-site. Hydrova’s innovative solutions help aluminum recyclers achieve their sustainability goals efficiently and profitably.
