Hydrova welcomes Xiaoxi Wu, Ph.D. to the team.

Xiaoxi Wu joins the Hydrova team as a senior process engineer with decades of chemical engineering experience. Prior to Hydrova, Xiaoxi was the Chief Scientist at GreenFuel, an MIT-spinout biofuel startup, where he was employee #4, designed their Gen II and Gen III bioreactors from scratch, and helped the company raise $13 million in VC investment. Following his tenure at GreenFuel, Xiaoxi became a Principal Engineer at General Atomics where he designed renewable algal biofuel production systems and managed multiple tasks of a $40M+ DARPA Jet Fuel Surrogate project. Xiaoxi is an inventor on 13 patents and co-author of 9 papers in top-ranked journals who synthesizes innovative thinking with veteran chemical engineering know-how. He holds a bachelors in chemical engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology and a masters and PhD in chemical engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Beer-Sheva, Israel. Xiaoxi will be working with the Hydrova team part-time to assist with process scale-up of Hydrova’s innovative waste-to-value technology. Welcome to the team, Xiaoxi!
